Holidays Recognized and Observed. Section 1. The following holidays shall be recognized and observed as paid holidays: New Year’s Day Labor Day Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xx. Day Veteran’s Day President’s Day Thanksgiving and day after Thanksgiving Patriot’s Day Christmas Day Memorial Day ½ day before Christmas Independence Day Columbus Day Whenever any of the holidays listed above shall fall on Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be observed as the holiday.
