Common use of Hours Between Shifts Clause in Contracts

Hours Between Shifts. Employees shall have a minimum of ten (10) hours between shifts. Any time worked during the ten (10) hour period shall be paid at overtime rates. Parks and Recreation Department Regular Part-Time, Part-Time, and Auxiliary Aquatics Staff and Leisure Centre Front Counter/Reception staff shall be exempt from the requirements under Article 14.09 (Hours Between Shifts) with the following conditions: (1) The employees may work any combination of up to eight (8) hours during a twelve (12) hour shift. (2) There will be no fewer than ten (10) hours between shifts in any two (2) work days.
