Hours of Assigned Duty. 6.3.1 There shall be a maximum of 25 hours of assigned duty per week for full-time instructors. 6.3.2 The maximum number of hours of assigned duty per week for part-time instructors shall be prorated. 6.3.3 Under no circumstances shall the number of hours in which an instructor is assigned to duties listed in Article 6.1.2 exceed the level(s) existing in the instructor's department in the 1989-90 fiscal year, nor shall the total number of assigned duty hours per instructor exceed the level(s) existing in the instructor's department in the 1989-90 fiscal year. 6.3.4 No instructor shall have more than 5 hours of assigned duty per day or more than 5 consecutive days of assigned duty per week. 6.3.5 Arrangements shall be made for a meal break of one hour duration and for two 15 minute breaks each day. The breaks shall not be included as part of an instructor's assigned duty. 6.3.6 The foregoing Articles 6.3.4 and 6.3.5 shall be completed within six and one-half consecutive hours. 6.3.7 The provisions of Articles 6.3.4, 6.3.5, and 6.3.6 may be waived with the agreement of the Association and the appropriate ▇▇▇▇ or Director.

  • Hours Worked For the purpose of computing the number of hours worked, all time during which an employee is in paid status shall be construed as hours worked.

  • Variation of period of parental leave Unless agreed otherwise between the employer and employee, an employee may apply to their employer to change the period of parental leave on one occasion. Any such change to be notified at least four weeks prior to the commencement of the changed arrangements.

(b) In the event that an Employee agrees to a request from site management to resume or continue to work without having had ten consecutive hours off duty, the Employee shall be paid at double ordinary time rates until the Employee is released from duty for such period.
