Hours of Work Meal Periods Rest Periods. 21.01 Hours of Work There will be seven and one-half (7½) work hours per day, and an average of thirty-seven and one-half (37½) work hours per week, exclusive of meal periods, or a mutually agreed equivalent. Effective the beginning of the first pay period after June 23, 1994, but no later than June 30, 1994, there will be an average of thirty-six (36) work hours per week, exclusive of meal times, or a mutually agreed equivalent. Effective the beginning of the first pay period after June 23, 1994, but no later than June 30, 1994, for hours worked, the base day will be seven point two (7.2) hours for the purpose of calculating the accrued credit banks.

  • Paid Rest Periods All Employees shall be given a paid rest period of fifteen (15) minutes in the first and second half of their daily shift in an area made available by the Employer. If mutually agreed to between the parties, the two (2) rest periods shall be combined.

  • Rest Periods Employees working a full shift will receive one rest period of fifteen (15) minutes in each half of the shift. Employees working less than a full shift, but a minimum of four (4) hours will receive one fifteen (15) minute rest period.

  • Meal Periods (a) Meal periods shall be scheduled as closely as possible to the middle of the workday. The length of the meal period shall be not less than thirty (30) minutes and not more than sixty (60) minutes.

  • Meal/Rest Periods All nurses shall receive an unpaid meal period of one-half (1/2) hour. Nurses required to remain on duty or in the Hospital during their meal period shall be compensated for such time at the appropriate rate of pay. All nurses shall receive one (1) fifteen

  • Meal Breaks and Rest Periods 7.1 Except when required for urgent or emergency work and except as provided in 7.2 below, no employee shall be required to work for more than five hours continuously without being entitled to a meal break of not less than half an hour. There will be only one meal break of not less than half an hour during a 10 hour shift.

  • Overtime-Eligible Rest Periods ‌ The Employer and the Union agree to rest periods that vary from and supersede the rest periods required by WAC 000-000-000. Employees will be allowed rest periods of fifteen (15) minutes for each one-half (1/2) shift of four (4) or more hours worked at or near the middle of each one-half (1/2) shift of four (4) or more hours. Rest periods do not require relief from duty. Rest periods may not be used for late arrival or early departure from work and rest and meal periods will not be combined.
