IAEA SAFEGUARDS. Article 13 Each Contracting Party shall negotiate multilateral or bilateral agreements with the International Atomic Energy Agency for the application of its safeguards to its nuclear activities. Each Contracting Party shall initiate negotiations within a period of 180 days after the date of the deposit of its instrument of ratification of this Treaty. These agreements shall enter into force, for each Party, not later than eighteen months after the date of the initiation of such negotiations except in case of unforeseen circumstances or force majeure.

IAEA SAFEGUARDS. Each State Party which has not done so shall conclude an agreement with the IAEA for the application of full scope safeguards to its peaceful nuclear activities not later than eighteen months after the entry into force for that State Party of the Treaty.
IAEA SAFEGUARDS. 1. Consistent with the provisions of the Agreement for Cooperation, the Government of India shall offer the Facility for the application of IAEA safeguards as per the provisions of the India-Specific Safeguards Agreement. For the timely detection of withdrawal of safeguarded nuclear material from civilian use, safeguards measures shall include, as specified by the India-Specific Safeguards Agreement, nuclear material accountancy, design review, verification, progress in construction, appropriate containment and surveillance systems, process monitoring and other measures as may be agreed with the IAEA.
IAEA SAFEGUARDS. 1. The safeguards referred to in Article 8 shall in respect of each Party be applied by the IAEA as set forth in an agreement negotiated and concluded with the IAEA on all source or special fissionable material in all peaceful nuclear activities within the territory of the Party, under its jurisdiction or carried out under its control anywhere.
IAEA SAFEGUARDS. Once a country has eliminated its nuclear weapons, it must accept stringent safeguards with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to enable that body to verify that the disarmed country’s nuclear facilities and materials are never again used for weapon-related purposes.   • Safeguards Business Associate, its Agent(s) and Subcontractor(s) shall implement and use appropriate safeguards to prevent the use or disclosure of PHI other than as provided for by this Agreement. With respect to any PHI that is maintained in or transmitted by electronic media, Business Associate or its Subcontractor(s) shall comply with 45 CFR sections 164.308 (administrative safeguards), 164.310 (physical safeguards), 164.312 (technical safeguards) and 164.316 (policies and procedures and documentation requirements). Business Associate or its Agent(s) and Subcontractor(s) shall identify in writing upon request from Covered Entity all of the safeguards that it uses to prevent impermissible uses or disclosures of PHI.

  • Technical Safeguards 1. USAC and the Department will process the data matched and any data created by the match under the immediate supervision and control of authorized personnel to protect the confidentiality of the data, so unauthorized persons cannot retrieve any data by computer, remote terminal, or other means.

  • Information Safeguards Business Associate will develop, document, implement, maintain and use appropriate administrative, technical and physical safeguards to preserve the integrity and confidentiality of and to prevent non-permitted use or disclosure of PHI created for or received from Recipient or its Subsidiaries. These safeguards must be appropriate to the size and complexity of Business Associate’s operations and the nature and scope of its activities.   • Security Safeguards (1) Each party acknowledges that it is solely responsible for determining and communicating to the other the appropriate technological, physical, and organizational security measures required to protect Personal Data.

  • Physical Safeguards USAC and the Department agree to maintain all automated matching records in a secured computer environment that includes the use of authorized access codes to restrict access. Those records will be maintained under conditions that restrict access to persons who need them for official duties related to the matching process. The user’s supervisor will ensure that USAC or the Department are notified when a user has departed or duties have changed so the user no longer needs access to the system, to ensure timely deletion of the user’s account and password.

  • Appropriate Safeguards BA shall implement appropriate safeguards to prevent the use or disclosure of Protected Information other than as permitted by the Contract or Addendum, including, but not limited to, administrative, physical and technical safeguards in accordance with the Security Rule, including, but not limited to, 45 C.F.R. Sections 164.308, 164.310, and 164.312. [45 C.F.R. Section 164.504(e)(2)(ii)(B); 45 C.F.R. Section 164.308(b)]. BA shall comply with the policies and procedures and documentation requirements of the Security rule, including, but not limited to, 45 C.F.R. Section 164.316 [42 U.S.C. Section 17931].

  • Safeguard Measures 1. The Parties note the multilateral negotiations pursuant to Article X of GATS on the question of emergency safeguard measures based on the principle of non- discrimination. Upon the conclusion of such multilateral negotiations, the Parties shall conduct a review for the purpose of discussing appropriate amendments to this Agreement so as to incorporate the results of such multilateral negotiations.

  • Bilateral Safeguard Measures 1. Where, as a result of the reduction or elimination of a customs duty under this Agreement, any product originating in a Party is being imported into the territory of another Party in such increased quantities, in absolute terms or relative to domestic production, and under such conditions as to constitute a substantial cause of serious injury or threat thereof to the domestic industry of like or directly competitive products in the territory of the importing Party, the importing Party may take bilateral safeguard measures to the minimum extent necessary to remedy or prevent the injury, subject to the provisions of paragraphs 2 to 10.

  • Global Safeguard Measures 1. The rights and obligations of the Parties in respect of global safeguards shall be governed by Article XIX of GATT 1994 and the WTO Agreement on Safeguards.
