ILLNESS ALLOWANCE. 14.01 Illness allowance means the period of time a full-time nurse is absent from work with full pay by virtue of being sick or disabled, exposed to a contagious disease or under examination or treatment by a physician, chiropractor, or dentist which prevents her from carrying out her normal duties or because of an accident for which compensation is not payable under the Workers' Compensation Act.
