Common use of Illness, Injury Emergency Leave Clause in Contracts

Illness, Injury Emergency Leave. Illness, injury, emergency leave of twelve (12) days shall be allowed to each employee. It is hereby agreed by the parties to this Collective Bargaining Agreement that the Woodland School District shall maintain the present practice of front loading sick leave for employees. For the purpose of this section an emergency is defined as a problem that has been suddenly precipitated or is unplanned, or where pre-planning could relieve the necessity for the employee’s absence. Such leave benefits shall accrue from year to year. Accumulated illness, injury, emergency leave hours will be shown monthly on the employees’ payroll statement.
