IN CASE OF ACCIDENT OR ILLNESS. The Company shall reimburse to an Officer following any work accident or illness, all transportation expenses from his place of work to the nearest hospital or clinic. On the doctor's recommendation, the Company shall reimburse transportation expenses from his place of work, from the hospital or clinic to his place of residence in Canada.

IN CASE OF ACCIDENT OR ILLNESS. PURPOSE OF COVERAGE LIMITATIONS Subject to the terms, conditions, limitations and the summary of this coverage, the insurer undertakes to pay an amount that corresponds to the daily benefit indicated in the SUMMARY OF COVERAGES when the insured is hospitalized as the result of an accident or an illness for at least 18 hours. For the purposes of this contract, where the insured undergoes day surgery further to the accident or illness, the hospitalization period corresponds to a period of 18 hours. In all cases, hospitalization or day surgery must occur during the coverage period. For an amount to be payable, hospitali- zation or day surgery must be medically necessary as a result of an accident or an illness.

  • Industrial Accident or Illness Leave shall be reduced by one (1) day for each day of authorized absence regardless of a temporary disability indemnity award.

  • Industrial Accident or Illness Leave 7.6.1 All unit members shall receive sixty (60) days’ leave with pay in any one fiscal year for an industrial accident or illness. An industrial accident or illness is defined as one where the unit member becomes ill or is injured while he/she is serving the District, and, the accident or illness is reported to the District’s Self-Insurance Program in accordance with District regulations, and, the District Self-Insurance Program accepts responsibility for the treatment of the unit member.

  • Transportation of Accident Victims Transportation to the nearest physician or hospital for employees requiring medical care as a result of an on-the-job accident shall be at the expense of the Employer.

  • Industrial Accident and Illness Leave shall be granted for illness or injury incurred within the course and scope of an employee's assigned duties. The employee who has sustained a job-related injury shall report the injury on an Office approved accident form to the immediate supervisor within twenty-four (24) hours. An employee shall report any illness, in writing, to the immediate supervisor within twenty-four (24) hours of knowledge that the illness is an alleged industrial illness. Requirements for such leave shall be:

  • Industrial Accident Leave 5.8.1 Unit Members will be entitled to industrial accident leave according to the provision in Education Code Section 87787 for personal injury which has qualified for Worker's Compensation under the provisions of the State Compensation Insurance Fund.

  • Accident INVESTIGATIONS Whenever an accident occurs involving the equipment or personnel of a Supporting Party, the Protecting Party shall take immediate steps to notify the Supporting Party that an accident has occurred. As soon as practical, the Protecting Party shall initiate an investigation of the accident. A team made up of appropriate representatives from all affected agencies shall conduct the investigation. Costs for investigation personnel are Party-specific and will be borne by the sending Party. Other accident or incident investigation costs are the fiscal responsibility of the Party (ies) that has jurisdiction and/or investigative responsibility. The sharing of information between Parties on accident investigations and their findings and probable causes is a valuable tool for safety and must be encouraged.

  • Accident Leave 22.1 Transport of injured employees - Where the accident is work-related and the injury sustained by the employee necessitates immediate removal to a hospital, or to a medical practitioner for medical attention and then to their residence or a hospital, or to their residence (medical attention away from the residence not being required), the employer is to provide or arrange for the necessary transport, pay all reasonable expenses for meals and lodging incurred by or on behalf of the employee during the period she/he is transported, and claim reimbursement from ACC.

  • Investigation of Accidents The Occupational Health and Safety Committees, as provided in Clause 22.2, shall be notified of each accident or injury and shall investigate and report to the Union and Employer on the nature and cause of the accident or injury. In the event of a fatality the Employer shall immediately notify the President of the nature and circumstances of the accident.

  • ACCIDENT PAY The company shall pay accident pay as defined in the award, during the incapacity of their employee/s arising from any one injury, for a total of fifty-two (52) weeks - irrespective of whether such incapacity is in one continuous period or not.
