In Charge Allowance. (a) A registered nurse who is designated by the employer to be in charge during the day, evening or night of a residential aged care facility shall be paid in addition to his or her appropriate salary, whilst so in charge, the per shift allowance set out in Allowances Item #4. (for less than 100 beds) or Item #5 (for 100 or more beds). (b) A registered nurse who is designated by the employer to be in charge of a shift in a section of a residential aged care facility shall be paid in addition to his or her appropriate salary, the per shift allowance set out in Allowances Item #6. (c) This sub-clause shall not apply to registered nurses holding classified positions of a higher grade than a registered nurse.
