Common use of IN-SCHOOL SUBSTITUTE PAY Clause in Contracts

IN-SCHOOL SUBSTITUTE PAY. When an approved substitute is not available and an employee voluntarily assumes an absent teacher’s instructional responsibilities during his/her conference/planning period, said teacher shall be compensated at the rate of $12.50/period or class period or fraction thereof. When an approved substitute is not available for specialists in elementary school (this means art, music, physical education) the responsibility of those students shall be assumed by the homeroom teacher at the rate of $12.50/period or fraction thereof. For study hall or regular classroom coverage a $5.00 per period or fraction thereof shall be paid.
