Substitute Pay. When a faculty member is absent and a paid substitute is approved by the area administrator, the substitute will be paid at the appropriate LHE rate.
Substitute Pay. An adjunct faculty member who substitute teaches shall be paid at forty dollars ($40) per fifty (50) minute class period. No person shall be paid extra for teaching two sections at the same hour, nor shall he/she be required to do so.

Substitute Pay. During the school year, if a bargaining unit member serves as a Substitute in another bargaining unit position, s/he will be paid at his/her current hourly rate. A bargaining unit member on lay-off who is called to substitute in a bargaining unit position during the school year will be paid at the substitute rate.
Substitute Pay. Substitutes shall be paid the base rate, Step 1, on the wage schedule for all hours worked. Any substitute who was previously a regular employee of the District for at least five (5) years and retired with the District at the time they separated from employment shall be paid at their previous pay step (years of service) in the classification for which they are substituting.
Substitute Pay. The hiring of a substitute faculty shall be the responsibility of the Employer. Substitute work may be assigned without additional compensation up to a teaching Faculty Member’s semester load maximum within the first two weeks of the semester (add-drop period). All other substitute work e.g. excess of the semester load maximum without regard to Commencement, subsequent to the first two weeks of the semester without regard to semester load, may be assigned only after agreement with the individual teaching Faculty Member. Compensation for such substitute work shall commence with the first hour of assignment and shall be paid at the rate specified in Section 8.3.9., below.
Substitute Pay. Whenever an employee is directed to provide substitute service for a non- bargaining unit employee who is absent for one-half or more of the employee's normal working day, the employee shall be paid an additional $.50 per hour. Whenever a substitute is hired for an employee, the rate of pay shall be no less than that of the initial step of the wage schedule. Retirees returning to sub in the district will be placed at the step and longevity in which they retired.
