In-Service Programs. 34.01 (a) The Parties to this Collective Agreement recognize the value of continuing in-service education for employees in the various professions and that the responsibility for such continuing education lies not only with the Employer but also with the employee. For the purpose of this Article, the term “in- service” includes: orientation, acquisition and maintenance of essential skills, and other programs which may be offered by the Employer.
