The teacher successfully completes the course by earning a grade of "C" or better. c. The teacher submits evidence of satisfactory completion to the professional development staff.

Reimbursement of Tuition. 1. The Board shall reimburse employees of the Association for tuition costs for courses taken in connection with an approved program of professional development studies, from an accredited institution of higher education as defined in N.J.A.C. 6A:9-2.1. 2. Effective upon ratification, the Board has agreed to allocate $30,000 annually for continuing education tuition reimbursement for employees of the MAA; individual employees will be capped at $10,000/year (July 1 – June 30) for continuing education tuition reimbursement for approved course work. 3. In the event that there are multiple employees of the bargaining unit drawing upon the annually approved tuition reimbursement allocation of $30,000, the funds will be equally divided among the employees based on their tuition reimbursement requests and the monies, however not to exceed the individual threshold of $10,000/year. In the event that the number of tuition reimbursement requests exceeds the Board allocation of $30,000 in a given year (July 1 – June 30), the Board will immediately notify the Association membership in writing that no more tuition reimbursement requests will be accepted until July 1 of the next school year. Unused tuition reimbursement allocation in a given year shall not be rolled into the next school year.
Reimbursement of Tuition. 19:1 Eligibility - Teachers within the district are eligible to receive reimbursement for the costs associated with the enrollment and attendance in approved courses for professional improvement according to the following regulations. 19:2 The total amount of annual reimbursements to employees represented by the Association pursuant to this provision shall be limited to $450,000. Reimbursement shall be paid in order of approval. The $450,000 will be allocated as follows: $400,000 will be available for courses taken in the summer and fall semesters; $50,000 will be set aside for courses taken in the spring semester. If any of the $400,000 for summer and fall semester courses is not utilized, the unspent funds will carry over and be available in the spring semester, in addition to the $50,000 that was set aside. Unspent funds at the end of the school year will not into carry over into subsequent years. Reimbursement shall cover 100% of the cost of tuition, registration, lab fees and all other mandatory charges at the college and/or university that the employee attends. If attendance or enrollment at a seminar, workshop, or course is specifically requested by the administration, then the Board shall reimburse the teacher for 100% of approved costs. Attendance or enrollment shall be considered “specifically requested” only if it is assigned and required by the administration. Courses, seminars, etc. taken in the context of State mandated continuing education shall not be considered “specifically requested”. However, courses, seminars, etc. taken in the context of State mandated continuing education shall be eligible for reimbursement under 14:11 and the remaining provisions of Article 19. 19:3 Criteria for Courses Eligible for Reimbursement - The following criteria will be applied to determine whether a course is eligible for tuition reimbursement: (a) A course necessary to renew existing substandard emergency or provisional certificates is not eligible for reimbursement. (b) A course may be taken at any institution of higher learning accredited by a regional accrediting organization recognized by the United States Department of Education. (c) A course may be taken at the graduate or undergraduate level. (d) A course may require class attendance or be taken online. (e) A course which is taught primarily through videotaped lessons is eligible for reimbursement only if the Superintendent gives advanced approval to the course based on its instructional methodolog...
Reimbursement of Tuition. A. If an employee uses the tuition payments referenced above, that employee is expected to remain in this school district for no less than three years. B. If an employee voluntarily leaves the employment of the school district prior to the end of the three years, the employee will reimburse the school district the percentage of payments made on their behalf using the following schedule: • If the employee leaves after 0-12 months = 75% • If the employee leaves after 12-24 months = 50% • If the employee leaves after 24-36 months = 25% C. The employee must reimburse the school district within 90 days of the end of employment. D. In the event of extenuating circumstances, the Board has the ability to waive this provision by majority vote. E. This provision goes into effect for classes taken after August 1, 2018.
Reimbursement of Tuition. Effective July 1, 2007, unit members who resign/retire from the District will repay the District for reimbursed tuition as per the following schedule: • less than one year after reimbursement received will provide a full refund of the reimbursed tuition. • at least one year but less than two years after reimbursement received will provide a two-thirds refund of the reimbursed tuition. • at least two years and less than three years after reimbursement received will provide a one-third refund of the reimbursed tuition. In extenuating circumstances, the Association president may engage in a conversation with the Superintendent of Schools regarding a unit member’s obligation for repayment of reimbursed tuition.
Reimbursement of Tuition. Company shall reimburse Executive 25% of the cost of his tuition at the Executive MBA Program at the Graduate School of Management at UCLA in which he is currently enrolled so long as he is employed hereunder provided that he passes the coursework (“Tuition Reimbursements”). All such payroll advances shall be recoupable against any accrued payroll and/or accrued but unused Paid Time Off due to Executive at the time of the termination of his employment. If any balance remains thereafter on such Payroll Advances, Executive agrees to remit the balance to the Company within 10 days after the termination of his employment.

To improve present programs and to introduce new programs of instruction in Wahkiakum School District, the District will provide reimbursement for tuition of approved courses from accredited colleges and universities or in-service classes, for qualified staff members. B. All courses must be approved by the Administration and lead to the improvement of present programs or introduction of new programs of classroom instruction within the school system. 1. Approval must be granted by the improvement of instruction committee and the Superintendent within two weeks of after the course has been taken or one week after school starts if taken during the summer. 2. Teachers are to give an evaluation of the courses to the committee and make recommendations for the improvement of curriculum. 3. Approved courses may be used toward a fifth year program, a higher degree or to satisfy the educational requirements of the salary schedule when approved by the credentials committee; but it is not the purpose of this provision to provide reimbursement for all courses leading to one of the above programs. 4. Coaches who are required by WIAA to attend coaching clinics or in-services shall be eligible for tuition reimbursement when the clinic or inservice is associated with clock hours or credits. C. The amount of reimbursement shall be limited to $200.00 per year per employee, not to exceed $720.00 in any five year period. Maximum credit rates for reimbursement will be $60.00 per quarter hour or $90.00 per semester hour, or $6.00 per clock hour. The aggregate amount of the tuition reimbursement shall be limited to $2,700.00 per school year with any amount not disbursed carried forward to the next year up to a total of $5,200.00.
