Common use of Increment Anniversary Clause in Contracts

Increment Anniversary. Staff (a) Employees will be eligible for placement on the next higher increment (up to maximum on their pay scale) as of the first day of the pay period following the earning of twelve (12) months of seniority as defined in Article 15.1 (Calculation of Seniority). (b) An increment may be withheld or, in the case of an employee at maximum, withdrawn for less than satisfactory service based on the employee's evaluation report. (c) If an employee takes more than six (6) months of unpaid leave in any year, the employee's increment anniversary date will be postponed one (1) full year. (d) The employer may grant more than one (1) pay increment for improved qualifications.
