Common use of Indigenous Peoples Clause in Contracts

Indigenous Peoples. The Recipient shall ensure that the Project does not have any indigenous peoples impacts within the meaning of SPS. In the event that the Project does have any such impact, the Recipient shall take, or cause the Project Executing Agency to take, all steps required to ensure that the Project complies with the applicable laws and regulations of the Recipient and with the principles and requirements set forth in Chapter V, Appendix 3 and Appendix 4 (as applicable) of the SPS.

In the event that the Project does have any such impactimpacts, the Recipient shall take, or cause the Project Executing Agency to take, take all steps required to ensure that the Project complies with the applicable laws and regulations of the Recipient and with the principles and requirements set forth in Chapter V, Appendix 3 and Appendix 4 (as applicable) of the SPS.

In the event that If due to unforeseen circumstances, the Project does have involves any such impactimpacts, the Recipient shall take, or cause the Project Executing Agency to take, take all steps required necessary or desirable to ensure that the Project complies with the all applicable laws and regulations of the Recipient recipient and with the principles and requirements set forth in Chapter V, Appendix 3 and Appendix 4 (as applicable) of the SPS.
