Common use of Industrial Clause in Contracts

Industrial. (a) For the purposes of this section, a “regular work day” is a day for which straight time rates would apply and an “overtime day” is a day for which overtime rates would apply to all hours worked. COMMERCIAL/INSTITUTIONAL (b) Should a Statutory Holiday fall on Monday where this option is being utilized, then a Friday may be scheduled as a regular day of work with no overtime premium applied for the first ten (10) hours of work, after ten (10) hours all work shall be overtime and paid for at a rate of one and one-half times (1½x) the applicable rate. When a Statutory Holiday falls in the middle of a work week, then the Union and the Employer shall mutually agree to the work schedule for that week.
