Common use of INDUSTRY TRAINING Clause in Contracts

INDUSTRY TRAINING. The parties agree that continuing, improved, co-ordinated training in the Commercial Refrigeration industry is required to ensure the viability of the industry. Accordingly the parties commit to provide co-managed training for employees covered by this agreement and undertake to ensure that such training can be provided on an on-going basis. The training provided shall be based on the agreed national competency standards approved by the Australian National Training Authority for plumbing and mechanical services and shall be provided by accredited training authorities. The parties to this agreement recognise that the apprentice system of structured vocational training that operates within the commercial refrigeration industry has been integral to the efficiency and productivity of the industry. The parties are committed to maintaining the integrity of and improving upon the existing system of structured vocational training.
