Informing Employees. All current employees shall be fully informed of this Program and the Town of Fairfield Employee Assistance Program (EAP) prior to implementation and all employees hired after the effective date of this agreement shall be fully informed of this Program and the EAP prior to their first duty shift. The information on this Program shall include how tests are conducted, how employees are randomly selected, the reasonable suspicion standard, what the tests can determine and the consequences of testing positive for drug or alcohol use. Prior to any testing, employees shall be required to sign the consent and release attached to this collective bargaining agreement as Attachment I.
