Summer Vacancies. When summer vacancies occur after the summer program has begun, the following shall apply: A. All summer vacancies shall be posted for three (3) workdays as provided in Article 18.02 of this Agreement. In addition, all summer vacancies shall be emailed to all employees if the employee has provided his/her email to the Employer. B. Employees who are interested in a summer vacancy shall 1) sign the posting in the normal way; or 2) call the office and apply by telephone; or 3) have a designated signed proxy apply on his/her behalf. Options 2 and 3 must be confirmed by written statements within two (2) workdays (excluding holidays) of application. C. Should a summer vacancy occur, the office shall offer the vacancy to the most senior applicant. D. If the applicant who is awarded the summer vacancy has another summer run, that summer run shall likewise be posted and filled in accordance with these provisions. E. The 30-day and 40-day bars that apply to school year vacancies shall not apply to summer vacancies. F. If any vacancies occur during the last two (2) weeks of the summer program, they shall be considered temporary vacancies, and the district shall not be required to post them.

Summer Vacancies. The District shall post vacancies that occur in this bargaining unit during the summer months for ten (10) days. Furthermore, the District will mail postings of vacancies that include bargaining unit positions to bargaining unit members who leave stamped self-addressed envelopes with the Central Office. A copy will be mailed to the President of the Association.
Summer Vacancies. Whenever vacancies occur during the summer, the vacancies shall be posted at the District office. Classified employees interested in specific vacancies will notify the District office of their interest, in writing, during the regular weeks of school and shall include a summer address and phone number. Summer Vacancies. 16.2,4 1 When a student staff vacancy occurs during the period May 1 st to August 31 st and the Employer determines that there is an adequate number of staff in the affected area, vacant shifts shall be offered to active staff members in the operation in descending order of seniority. 16.2,4 2 If staff levels are not adequate, vacant shifts remaining shall be offered, in descending order of seniority, to employees from within the operation who work in the affected area but who are on summer leave and who have indicated in writing their willingness to work. Such an application shall be considered in the same manner as that of any employee who is not on summer leave.

Summer Vacancies. The District shall operate a website to advertise District job openings during summer recess and shall continue to notify the local president of job openings during summer recess via district email.
Summer Vacancies. A. Vacancies, which occur between June 15 and September 1, will be posted for a period of five (5) working days. A copy of said posting will be e-mailed to each Local President. B. Any employee who desires a copy of any classified posting during the summer months shall file a written request or e-mail request to this effect with the Director of Personnel. Summer Vacancies. For the purposes of this agreement, summer vacancies are defined as a vacancy that occurs between the last student day of the school year and the first day of school of the next school year. Bargaining unit members who desire notification of summer vacancies shall file a written statement, on a form provided by the District, with the Personnel Office no later than the last student day of each school year. Such statements must contain a preferred means of contact (either mailing or email contact address) and be renewed annually. 2. A copy of each summer vacancy opening responsive to the member’s request shall be sent by the employee’s preferred method of contact by the District to each bargaining unit member who has requested in writing such notification. A copy shall be sent to the Association President.
