Common use of Injured on Duty Clause in Contracts

Injured on Duty. All of the persons in the Unit shall be covered by the provisions of the Worker's Compensation Act, of the Province of New Brunswick. An employee receiving compensation benefits under the Worker's Compensation Act for injury on the job shall receive the difference between the employee's regular pay and the benefit that is paid by WorkSafeNB during the employee's period of total temporary disability. The absence of an employee who is receiving compensation benefits under the Worker's Compensation Act shall not be charged against the employee's sick leave credits or vacation credits. For the purpose of this Article, where WorkSafeNB benefits are reduced by the amount of any Canada Pension Plan payments, these payments shall be deemed to form part of WorkSafeNB benefits.
