INSERVICE. a. After collaboration with the school-based team and the approval of the appropriate district administrative officer, teachers shall receive appropriate in-service training to assist with the educational programming of students with special needs. b. Where such in-service as initiated by the Board occurs during the summer, winter or spring breaks, it shall be on a voluntary basis and shall be paid at the rate established in paragraph B.1.15.b for each day of in-service. c. Where such inservice is initiated by the Board, during the regular school year, the Board shall pay fees and expenses incurred by the teacher.
