Instructor Rights and Responsibilities. An instructor's primary responsibility is to teach. To this end, an instructor shall perform in a professional manner at a level appropriate to the courses being taught and the capabilities of the students in classes. The faculty member is expected to be informed relative to the latest developments in areas of competence and responsibility. Faculty members shall familiarize themselves and act in accordance with the pertinent sections of the Education Code, Administrative Code, Policy and Procedures Manual and the current CTA Contract.
