Interns and Volunteers. District Defender may use unpaid interns and/or volunteers as staff provided District Defender adequately trains and supervises same to ensure that client confidentiality and support services do not fall below prevailing standards. For the purposes of this Contract, District personnel compensated by a third party shall be considered unpaid volunteers.
