Common use of Investigative Conference Clause in Contracts

Investigative Conference. Except in cases where the unit member is placed on administrative leave with pay, a unit member against whom disciplinary action is being considered shall be scheduled to attend an investigative conference with the Human Resources Director or his/her designee. (a) At such conference, the unit member shall be informed orally of the specific disciplinary action being considered, as well as the reasons, and be given an opportunity to respond. (b) The unit member may be represented at such conference by a representative of his/her choice. Failure of the unit member to attend the meeting shall not invalidate any disciplinary action imposed pursuant to this Article.
