Common use of Involuntary Movement Clause in Contracts

Involuntary Movement. An employee who involuntarily moves to a position with a lower salary range shall be placed on the step closest to, but not less than, the rate of pay the employee was receiving prior to the move to the new position, except that the employee shall not receive an amount greater than the highest rate within the range.
