Management will endeavour to fill the position within 30 days of the notice of the award. (a) An employee who has successfully applied for a job vacancy shall serve a trial period of sixty (60) working days which may be extended for another sixty (60) working days by mutual agreement between the Union and the Commission. During the trial period, the employee is precluded from applying to positions in the same classification. (b) During this period, at the employee’s option, or where he/she is deemed unsatisfactory by the Commission in the position, he/she will be returned to his/her former position without loss of seniority. Should the Commission deem the employee unsatisfactory in the position, the employee will not be eligible to re-apply to that classification for six months. Any other employee promoted or transferred because of the re-arrangement of positions shall be returned to his/her original position without loss of seniority. The return to the original positions would take place within twenty (20) days. (c) The Commission may fill any vacancy resulting from Article 14.07(b) by appointing the next candidate pursuant to Article 14.03 without repeating the original competition. 14.08 When the Commission is posting one position, it may also post the successive probable resulting job vacancies which it projects will result from the movement of the projected successful applicant into the original job vacancy. The probable job vacancy postings results will then be used to fill the subsequent vacancies if the Commission correctly predicted the location of the vacancy caused by the successful applicants. If the Commission prediction was incorrect then the normal job posting will be undertaken. 14.09 Any person applying for the Truck and Coach Apprentice classification position must be a registered apprentice from an educational institution that has the ability to certify the apprentice. 14.10 When an employee has posted into a Division, then that Division becomes the employee’s home Division. 14.11 Where a part-time employee posts into a full-time position, he/she shall not carry his/her seniority into the new position but will retain the seniority if he/she returns to a part-time position. Where a full-time employee posts into a part-time position, he/she shall not carry his/her seniority into the new position but will retain the seniority if he/she returns to a full-time position. JOB POSTING. 14.01 Notice of job openings, permanent, temporary, or newly created, in any of ‌ 10.01 New positions and vacancies which the classifications in Schedule “A” and of at least six months duration Corporation intends to fill shall be posted on all the online Employee Gateway and the bulletin boards advising of such vacancies and the wage rate applicable to the job. (Note: It is understood that this clause does not apply at to employees occupying such positions prior to the time ratification of such notice are the Collective Agreement). Where the vacancy is of a temporary nature, the job posting shall show the anticipated duration of the vacancy. (b) Upon filling the posted position, the Corporation shall post on a quarterly basis, the name of the successful applicant. 10.06 Employees successful on bidding to a temporary position or temporary vacancy will not be eligible to apply for another temporary position or temporary vacancy until the completion of their current temporary position or temporary vacancy. For temporary positions or temporary vacancies where the start and end dates are known and the end date of the currently held temporary position or temporary vacancy does not overlap with the start date of the posted temporary position or temporary vacancy, an employee may apply to the temporary position or temporary vacancy. On completion of a temporary position, the employee will revert to their previous permanent position, as shall any other employee who was promoted or transferred by reason of such placement. In the event an employee does not have a permanent position, such employee will be placed on the part-time list. 10.07 The Corporation shall not be prevented from temporarily filling any position during the initial and subsequent posting periods. 10.08 In the Article, vacancies shall mean those vacancies anticipated to extend beyond thirty (30) working days. 10.09 An employee accepted for a job vacancy posted position shall serve be placed in the position for a trial period of sixty thirty (6030) working days which may maximum. JOB POSTING. 14.01 Notice of job openings, permanent, temporary, or newly created, in any 30.1 With respect to positions the Corporation shall post a notice of the classifications vacant position(s) covered by this Agreement, five (5) calendar days prior to filling any vacancy in Schedule “A” and respect to a permanent position covered by this Agreement. A copy of at least six months duration said job posting shall be posted on all bulletin boards advising of such vacancies and the wage rate applicable forwarded to the Union. If a position is posted and subsequently filled from outside the Bargaining Unit, by a probationary employee, that position need not be reposted for a period of three (3) months, from the date of the expiration of the posting. JOB POSTING. 14.01 Notice of job openings‌ 11.01 Where a permanent vacancy occurs in a classification within the bargaining unit or a new position within the bargaining unit is established by the Hospital, permanent, temporary, or newly created, in any of the classifications in Schedule “A” and of at least six months duration such vacancy shall be posted on all bulletin boards advising by the Hospital for a period of such vacancies seven (7) days, excluding Saturday, Sunday and holidays. JOB POSTING. 14.01 Notice (a) When a vacancy, other than a temporary vacancy of thirteen (13) weeks or less but including a vacancy caused by the creation of a new position, occurs, the Employer will post the position within two (2) weeks for five (5) working days. The posting will set out the job openingscriteria, permanentincluding qualifications, temporaryskills and experience, the location or newly createdany other building involved, in any the rate of pay, and the hours of work of the classifications shift if applicable. Any employee may apply for such position in Schedule “A” and writing within such five (5) days. The appointment of at least six months duration an internal candidate to such posted vacancy shall be posted on all bulletin boards advising made within three (3) weeks of the close of such vacancies and job posting. Should no internal candidates apply within the wage rate applicable required timelines, the appointment of an external candidate shall normally occur within eight (8) weeks of the close of the internal process. To be eligible, probationary employees who make a request in writing may be considered at the discretion of the Deputy General Manager or designate. 14.05 When required, the Commission shall personally interview each applicant for the position within 30 days. If requested by the employee, notification of the reasons why an employee failed to receive any appointment shall be given in writing by the General Manager or his/her designate. 14.06 The Commission shall post on the bulletin boards the name of the successful applicant. Management will endeavour to fill the position within 30 days of the notice of the awardany other vacancy. JOB POSTING. 14.01 Notice 23.01 When a vacancy occurs in a classification within the bargaining unit or a new position within the bargaining unit is established by the Employer, such vacancy shall be posted by the Employer for a period of job openings, permanent, temporary, or newly created, in any ten (10) consecutive calendar days. Job postings and the names of the classifications in Schedule “A” and of at least six months duration successful candidates shall be posted on the Employer bulletin board(s) at all bulletin boards advising regional offices and sent to each employee by the Employer. Applications for such vacancy shall be made in writing within the ten (10) day period referred to herein. 23.02 Job postings shall stipulate the qualifications for the position, classification, hours of such vacancies work and rate of pay. As a minimum, the number of positions offered to volunteer firefighters shall be a percentage reflective of the number of residents in the population base within the City of ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ as defined in Article 2.01d. From the 2001 population census, this value would be 25%. The parties shall review this value and adjust it, if necessary, every 4 years to ensure it reflects the current population distribution and volunteer service areas at that time. Potential applicants must meet the following general criteria: a. Successful completion of the volunteer firefighter's probationary period under this Agreement; b. Successful completion of the applicable aptitude/job suitability test; c. Successful completion of the applicable medical and fitness test, and; d. Possession of a valid DZ driver's license. 12.09 The parties agree that the members included in Schedule “B” of this Agreement may apply and compete for any City of ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ positions once any requirements(s) regarding posting contained within any other applicable Collective Agreement has been complied with. (b) The requirements of a newly created job will be determined by a committee consisting of equal numbers of Union and Company representatives. The “Neutralizer” or other agreed upon job evaluation system will be utilized to evaluate the job grade of that new position and will be reviewed by the successful applicants. If the Commission prediction was incorrect then the normal job posting committee prior to establishing a pay rate for that job. (c) Employees in “backup” positions will be undertakenupdated on these jobs periodically, these employees in updating assignments will be paid the general rate of pay regardless of their current classification or their rate of pay. JOB POSTING. 14.01 Notice 30.01 A seniority employee who is interested in a job posting may file an application with the Human Resources Department. JOB POSTING. 14.01 Notice of job openings, permanent, temporary, or newly created, in any 30.1 With respect to positions the Corporation shall post a notice of the classifications vacant position(s) covered by this Agreement, five (5) calendar days prior to filling any vacancy in Schedule “A” and respect to a permanent position covered by this Agreement. A copy of at least six months duration said job posting shall be posted on all bulletin boards advising of such vacancies and the wage rate applicable forwarded to the Union. If a position is posted and subsequently filled from outside the Bargaining Unit, by a probationary employee, that position need not be reposted for a period of three (3) months, from the date of the expiration of the posting. In the event said probationary employee terminates prior to the expiration of the three (3) month period, the Corporation shall not be required to repost the position when recruiting for said position. Such notices or permanent job postings shall contain the following information: Nature of position, i.e. department and type of work, required knowledge and education, ability and skills, whether day, evening or night shift, and wage rate. Any application for a posted position shall be in writing and shall be addressed to the Corporate Human Resources and be signed by the applicant and delivered to the said office on or before the date specified in the posting. JOB POSTING. 14.01 Notice All vacancies (other than part-time Residential vacancies) which the Employer desires to fill and which are expected to be of job openings, permanent, temporary, or newly created, in any of the classifications in Schedule “A” and of at least six more than five (5) months duration shall be posted on all bulletin boards advising filled as follows: (a) The Employer agrees to run competitions for the following full-time positions a minimum of such three (3) times a year, in the months of April, August and December: • Full-time Support Worker II’s in Community Support Services; • Full-time Support Worker II’s in Accommodation, and; • Full-time Senior Support Workers (b) The results of these competitions will be used to establish a pool of qualified, eligible employees to fill vacancies as they occur within these specific jobs. Offers will be made in order of ranking. Qualified employees identified through ongoing, subsequent competitions will be ranked and the wage rate applicable added to the jobpool for consideration to fill vacancies, in accordance with established pool identified above. JOB POSTING. 14.01 Notice (a) Vacancies shall not be posted between the first day of job classes and September 15 of each school year. Outstanding transfer requests from the annual staffing process will be initially used to fill these vacancies wherever possible. After September 15 each year when a permanent position becomes vacant or a new position is established by the Board within the bargaining unit, other than a temporary vacancy as defined in Article 4.07, the Board will post at all times of the year a notice of vacancy for five (5) working days (week days in July, August) in the Educational Assistants’ Conference, the Board Website and the Job Hotline. JOB POSTING. 14.01 Notice of job openings, permanent, temporary, 18.01 All vacancies or newly created, in any of the classifications in Schedule “A” and of at least six months duration established positions shall be posted on all bulletin boards advising internally for at least seven (7) days, before any outside advertisement or postings, unless the Employer and the Union agree in writing to a longer or shorter period. All applicants within the bargaining unit and the Union will be advised of the results of the competition within fourteen (14) days of its conclusion. 18.02 Where vacancies are to be filled or new classifications are created within the scope of this Agreement, such vacancies shall be filled wherever possible from within the bargaining unit. Such vacancies shall be filled on the basis of seniority provided that the applicants possess the necessary qualifications of the job and have the ability to perform the work.
