Job Stewards. Except as provided in "a" and "b" below, at each work location the Union will have the right to designate, pursuant to its own procedures, one employee per shift to serve as the Job Xxxxxxx. The Union shall provide the Office of Staff Relations a written quarterly list of each employee so designated by name, classification and work location. If, during a quarter, the Job Xxxxxxx designation changes, the Union shall inform the Office of Staff Relations in writing of the changed information within fifteen (15) days of the change being made. a. The Union may designate up to three Job Stewards to be responsible for the traveling floor crews and up to three Job Stewards to be responsible for the traveling window washer crews. b. The Union may designate up to eleven (11) Job Stewards to represent bus drivers, allocated as shown at the following Bus Park Lots: 2 at Van Nuys, 3 at Gardena, 2 at Sun Valley, 1 at Business Division, 1 at Alameda, 1 at Nutrition Center, and 1 at Xxxxxxxxx. 5.1 The Job Xxxxxxx shall have the right to: a. Represent an employee, upon request, in a formal meeting as expressly provided for in Article V, Section 3.0 (Grievance Procedure) and Article X, Section 3.0 (Evaluation Procedures); Upon request of a Job Xxxxxxx serving as a representative as described above, the responsible supervisor/ administrator shall, whenever operationally practical, re-schedule a lunch and/or rest period of the employee and Job Xxxxxxx so that they may timely confer regarding the pending grievance or appeal; b. On his/her own time to coordinate Union meetings, which may be held on the work site during unpaid time for any employee in attendance, subject to availability of facilities and provided that there is no interference with other scheduled duties or events; c. Post, initial, and date official Union notices on officially designated bulletin boards and, where they currently exist, in employee mailboxes; and d. Report to the appropriate administrator upon discovery and without delay any unsafe or unsanitary conditions at the work site. e. There shall be no reprisals against the Job Xxxxxxx for the performance of his/her xxxxxxx responsibilities.

Job Stewards. Section 14.2 Stewards may receive but not solicit, and may discuss, complaints and grievances of employees on the premises and time of the Agency, but only to such extent as does not neglect, or interfere with the work and duties of the Job Stewards or with the work or duties of employees. Upon notice to their immediate supervisor, Xxx Xxxxxxxx shall be granted reasonable time off during regularly scheduled working hours without loss of pay or other benefits to discuss complaints and investigate grievances. Only one (1) Union Xxxxxxx will be in pay status for any one grievance. The Chief Xxxxxxx may consult on grievances on an in-pay status upon prior notice to their immediate supervisor, up to four (4) hours per month. Job Stewards will not conduct complaint or grievance work in the Agency's work areas. The Agency is not responsible for any miscellaneous expenses a written quarterly list grievant or Union Xxxxxxx incurs in the processing of each employee so designated a grievance. If the permitted activities would interfere with either the Job Xxxxxxx'x or the grievant's duties, the direct supervisor(s) shall, within the next working day, arrange a mutually satisfactory time for the requested activities. Time spent in grievance activities without the proper notification and release by name, classification and work location. If, during a quarter, the supervisor(s) involved will be considered unauthorized leave without pay for both the Job Xxxxxxx designation changes, and the Union shall inform the Office of Staff Relations in writing of the changed information within fifteen (15) days of the change being made. a. The Union may designate up to three Job Stewards to be responsible for the traveling floor crews and up to three Job Stewards to be responsible for the traveling window washer crews. b. There shall be no reprisals reprisal, coercion, intimidation or discrimination against the any Job Xxxxxxx for the performance conduct of his/her xxxxxxx responsibilitiesthe functions described in this Article. Section 14.4 At the Union's request and subject to the bona fide operating requirements of the Agency, Job Stewards for the Union shall be granted personal leave, accrued vacation leave, accrued compensatory time, or leave of absence without pay to attend the Union's Job Xxxxxxx training session.
