Joint Apprenticeship Committee. A. It is the policy of the State employer and Union to support the establishment of apprenticeship programs in bargaining units where such programs are deemed appropriate. Joint Apprenticeship Committee. A. It 14.01 There is hereby established a Joint Apprenticeship Committee as defined in Article 1. This Committee shall be composed of equal number of members, half of whom shall represent the policy Company and half of whom shall represent the Union. The Committee shall elect a Chairman and a Secretary. When a Company member is a Chairman, a Union member shall be Secretary and vice versa. The Committee shall meet at least once a month or call of the State employer and Union to support Chairman or Secretary or any two members of the establishment of apprenticeship programs in bargaining units where such programs are deemed appropriate. 14.02 The Union and shall appoint journeymen from the State agree that such apprenticeship programs plant as members of the Joint Apprenticeship Committee.
14.03 Each member of the Joint Apprenticeship Committee will be paid his regular rate from time spent working on official business of the Joint Apprenticeship Committee for the hours spent working on official business of the Joint Apprenticeship Committee for the hours he would otherwise have worked in the plant.
14.04 It shall be administered in accordance the duty of the Committee to:

See that each prospective apprentice is interviewed and impressed with the Xxxxxxx - Xxxxxxx Apprentice Labor Standards Act responsibilities he is about to accept, as well as the benefits he will receive, This will allow the Committee to designate whom they choose as interviewers, not necessarily Committee members.
B. Accept or reject applicants for apprenticeship after preliminary examination by the Personnel Department of 1939 (Labor Code section 3070, et seqthe Company.) and pursuant to the following provisions:
1. 14.05 The classification acceptance or rejection of positions and the selection process application for apprenticeship shall be governed by the SPBstandards established herein and shall not be subject to review through the Grievance Procedure.
A. Place apprentices under agreement.

X. Xxxx and decide on all questions involving the apprentices which relate to their apprenticeship.
