Common use of Joint Health and Safety Committees Clause in Contracts

Joint Health and Safety Committees. (a) A Joint Health and Safety Committee shall be established which is composed of an equal number of Union and Employer representatives, with a minimum of six members. The Joint Health and Safety Committee shall be co-chaired by one union representative and one employer representative. The Health and Safety Committee shall hold meetings at least once every three months, or more frequently if requested by the Union or by the Employer to jointly consider monitoring, inspecting, investigating, reviewing and improving health and safety conditions and practices. Minutes shall be taken of all meetings and copies shall be provided to the Employees and to the Union.
