Common use of Joint Relations Committee Clause in Contracts

Joint Relations Committee. (a) The Employer and the Union shall establish a committee to be known as the Joint Relations Committee, composed of three (3) representatives of the Employer and three (3) representatives of the executive of the Union. This Committee shall meet at its discretion. (b) The mandate of the Joint Relations and its sub-committees shall consist of the following: (i) Issues pertaining to or arising from the Collective Agreement; (ii) Operation of the joint committee process including the creation of sub committees; (iii) Discussion of issues arising from the passing or amending of statues or regulations that result in changes to the Collective Agreement, which shall be discussed at the first available Joint Relations Committee meeting or earlier with the mutual consent of the co-chairs.
