Common use of JURY DUTY AND CROWN WITNESS LEAVE Clause in Contracts

JURY DUTY AND CROWN WITNESS LEAVE. 15.01 The Company agrees to pay an employee who is summoned for jury duty or crown witness duty the difference between his pay received as a juror or witness and the pay he would have received had he worked his regular scheduled working hours at his straight time hourly rate. To qualify for such make-up pay the employee must promptly notify the Company of his selection for jury duty or crown witness, must furnish proof of service and amount received for jury duty or as crown witness and must return to work at every reasonable opportunity during the period of such jury or crown witness duty.
