Common use of Jury Duty, Subpoena or Quarantine Clause in Contracts

Jury Duty, Subpoena or Quarantine. (a) A Long-Term Occasional Teacher who is absent from a Long-Term Occasional teaching assignment by reason of a summons to serve on a jury, or a subpoena as a witness in any proceedings to which she is not a party or one of the persons charged, shall be paid the difference between the normal earnings and the payment she receives as a juror or as a witness. In any event, the number of days shall not exceed ten (10) days.
