Common use of Jury Duty/Subpoenaed Witness Clause in Contracts

Jury Duty/Subpoenaed Witness. The Company will pay an employee his/her regular day’s pay for every scheduled workday that s/he is attending jury duty. However, any pay that s/he may receive for his/her jury service, from other sources, excluding travel allowance, shall be signed over to the Company. It is expected that an employee will report to work if jury duty is not required on a normal workday. This section shall also apply to an employee who is subpoenaed as a witness, provided the employee is not the accused.
