Lead Assignment. An employee may be temporarily assigned in writing by the 4 manager/designee to perform lead duties. The employee will be paid seven and one-half percent (7- 5 1/2%) above his/her base hourly rate of pay. In the event that the employee works as a lead in excess 6 of thirty (30) continuous days, all compensated hours will be at the higher rate of pay. This provision 7 will be superseded by lead level classifications in the attached appendices, if such classifications have 8 a higher wage rate than the employee’s base hourly rate of pay.
