Learner Transportation. No unit member shall be required to use his/her personal vehicle to transport learners. Unit members who are authorized by CLCS to drive students on an extra-curricular (school sponsored) field trip shall have the prior approval of the Executive Director or designee. At a minimum, all drivers shall present a valid driver’s license and proof of liability insurance. As required by State law, in the case of an accident, the driver’s insurance shall be primary, the School’s secondary. Unit members shall continue to assume liability for their own vehicles.

  • Public Transportation Taxi or airport limousine services may be considered when traveling in and around cities or to and from airports when less expensive means of transportation are unavailable or impractical. The actual fare plus a reasonable tip (15-18%) are reimbursable. In the case of a free hotel shuttle to the airport, tips are included in the per diem rates and will not be reimbursed separately.
