TRANSPORTATION AND TRAVEL TIME. 13.01 If an employee's motor vehicle is used for transportation to and from jobs, at the Employer's request, the owner shall be paid fifty-five cents ($0.55) per kilometre for all such kilometres driven. An employee may refuse to transport company materials in his own motor vehicle if such materials would constitute a hazard such as an unstable load or if such materials would cause damage to his vehicle.
13.02 Employees shall be obligated to travel together as much as possible to eliminate unnecessary car usage.
13.03 Employees shall be paid travel time, both ways, to any job. When an employee uses his own vehicle to travel to a job that is between 100 and 150 kilometres from the shop he will be paid travel time one way. Employees who are required to stay away from their homes overnight will receive an allowance of fifty dollars ($50.00) per day. The Employer will also pay for the reasonable costs for overnight lodging but shall not require more than two (2) employees to stay in an ordinary hotel room.
13.04 The Employer agrees to pay expenses for mileage and room and board on a weekly basis.
TRANSPORTATION AND TRAVEL TIME. 19.1.1 Transportation and travel time shall apply as provided in this Article, except as otherwise provided in Article 19.2.4.
TRANSPORTATION AND TRAVEL TIME. 14.01 If an employee's car is authorized by the Employer to be used for transportation of employees to and from jobsites, the owner shall be paid at least fifty cents ($0.50) per kilometre for such use.
14.02 Employees shall be obliged to travel together as much as possible to eliminate unnecessary car usage. If an employee chooses not to carpool for personal reasons then travel expenses will not apply.
14.03 When an employee's vehicle is used for hauling company materials, the owner shall be paid twenty-five cents ($0.25) per kilometre for such use in addition to mileage specified in 14.01 above.
14.04 Employees shall be paid travel expenses as follows:
a. There shall be no paid travel to projects within the area described as a circle, having a radius of seventy- five (75) kilometres with the employee’s principle residence at the centre. There also shall be no paid travel to projects within the area described as a circle, having a radius of seventy-five (75) kilometres with the Employer’s Shop at the centre. Distances are measured by Google maps and shall not include toll roads. Outside these areas employees are paid for travel, calculated at fifty cents ($0.50) per kilometer each way.
b. Travel time shall be paid at straight time and shall not make any part of the overtime calculation.
c. Employees shall not expense toll road costs without the prior permission of their supervisor.
14.05 When employees are sent to work on a project beyond one hundred and fifty (150) kilometers from the Employer’s base of operations, and remain working on such project for consecutive days (in excess of one work day):
a. they will be paid a daily subsistence allowance of fifty dollars ($50.00) for each whole day spent out of town;
b. they will be provided with suitable accommodation;
c. they will be paid two-way travel from the Shop to the site (and return);
d. they will be transported to the job by the Employer, or where the Employer does not provide transportation, shall receive mileage reimbursement as described in Article 14.01 for the trip to and from the project each week. The Employer shall reserve the right to make reasonable carpooling arrangements.
e. Regardless of the amount of work available, the Employer shall pay at least four (4) hours per day that an employee is out of town, provided the employee was able to work.

14.02 If the Employer authorizes the use of an employee's vehicle for transportation of employees to and from jobsites, the owner shall be paid at least fifty cents (50¢) per kilometre for such use.

14.05 Employees are paid for two way travel to projects within the area described as twenty (20) kilometres outside of Kitchener/Waterloo.
14.06 For projects that are out of town and which will require the employees to lodge overnight the following shall apply:
a. Travel time, as calculated above, is paid.
b. The Employer shall make mutually agreeable arrangements for lodging.
c. The Employer and shall pay each employee a daily food allowance equal to one and one-half times (1½x) the foreperson hourly rate for each day that the employee is out of town, ,and
d. Regardless of the amount of work available, the Employer shall pay at least four (4) hours per day that an employee is out of town, provided the employee was able to work. Where there is sufficient daylight or where lights are provided, where there is no inclement weather, where the work can be commenced prior to 4:00 p.m., and where it is safe to do so, the employees will be expected to work at least four (4) hours on such project.
TRANSPORTATION AND TRAVEL TIME. The free travel zone is established by boundaries of the map below as follows: Starting from Sunset Beach at the northwest corner east to Pitt Polder at the northeast corner, down the Pitt River, up the Fraser River to Fort Xxxxxxx, south to the Canada/US border, west to Tsawwassen then north to Sunset Beach. Any travel beyond these boundaries will be paid at tenders’ rate for actual time of travel.

12.02 The Employer shall contact the Union to negotiate a “Live-Out” Allowance prior to the commencement of a job that requires employees to stay overnight.

14.04 When the Employer is awarded work further that two hundred (200) kilometres from the employers shop the parties agree to meet and agree to the travel conditions for that project. Items to be agreed upon shall include but not be limited to:
1. Paid travel time
2. Accommodations
3. Live out allowances
TRANSPORTATION AND TRAVEL TIME. 14.01 The Employer shall arrange for and provide transportation for all employees and normally each employee shall meet at the shop or designated marshalling area and be transported to the site in a company provided vehicle.
a. If the Employer authorizes an employee to drive his own vehicle to and from the jobsite, whether transporting additional employees or not, the owner shall be paid at least forty (40¢) cents per kilometre for such use.
b. If the job site is located closer to an employee’s residence than the employee’s residence is to the shop, he may be requested to drive directly to job site. In this instance, the employee shall not receive mileage for driving to and from the jobsite. If an employee agrees to drive directly to a jobsite that is a greater distance than driving to the shop, he will only be paid mileage for the difference in kilometers.
14.03 Employees shall be obligated to travel together as much as possible to eliminate unnecessary car usage.
14.04 When an employee's vehicle is used for hauling company materials, the owner shall be paid fifteen cents (15¢) per kilometre for such use in addition to mileage specified in 14.02 above.
14.05 Employees shall be paid travel time for all time traveling to and from the jobsite The Employer is authorized to deduct one half (1/2) hour at an employee’s regular hourly rate, each day worked by an employee, which shall be considered as unpaid travel time. To be clear, this half hour deduction equates to fifteen (15) minutes of unpaid travel time to and from the jobsite. Despite the foregoing, AZ/DZ truck drivers shall be paid for all time spent driving the Employer’s vehicle.
14.06 For projects that are out of town and which will require the employees to lodge overnight, the following shall apply:
a. Travel time and mileage, as described in Article 14, as applicable;
b. The Employer shall make arrangements for reasonable lodging. No more than two (2) employees shall be required to share a room;
c. The Employer shall pay each employee a daily food allowance equal to fifty ($50.00) dollars per night away from home, and
d. Regardless of the amount of work available, the Employer shall pay at least four (4) hours per day that an employee is out of town, provided the employee was able to work.
14.07 Subject to the rules of the Income Tax Act, as may be amended from time to time, all payments that arise from Article 14.06 shall be deemed travel allowance, to be paid by direct deposit, and subject only to...

12.03 Where travel to a job site outside the zone described above is required, the Employer shall pay travel time to the job site. For greater certainty, employees are paid from the time they report to the yard or marshalling area until the time they leave the last work site of the day, less one half (½) hour for lunch.
12.04 For projects that are out of town and which will require the employees to lodge overnight the following shall apply. One half (1/2) of the time on the return trip is paid for travel. The Employer shall make mutually agreeable arrangements for lodging and shall pay for lodging and shall pay for restaurant meals. In the event this cannot be arranged, the Employer shall pay each employee a daily food allowance equal to one and one half (1 ½) times the foreperson hourly rate for each day that the employee is out of town. Regardless of the amount of work available, the Employer shall pay at least four (4) hours per day that an employee is out of town, provided the employee was able to work. Where there is sufficient daylight or where lights are provided, where there is no inclement weather, where the work can be commenced prior to 4 p.m., and where it is safe to do so, the employees will be expected to work at least four (4) hours on such a project.
12.05 In consideration for the responsibility for caring for a company vehicle, an employee who spends time cleaning and maintaining the vehicle shall be paid for such time.
