LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR ASSOCIATION BUSINESS. D.1 Leave of absence for Association business shall be granted on the following conditions: (i) the aggregate number of days per year for full-time and part-time nurses shall not exceed forty (40) days; (ii) a written request for leave shall be made with a copy going to the Association at least fifteen (15) days prior to the commencement of the leave unless exceptional circumstances do not permit such notice; (iii) no more than two (2) nurses will be given leave for the same day unless the Chief Nursing Officer agrees that sufficient staff is available to ensure adequate staffing.
