Leave of Absence for Child Care. a. A unit member may request a leave of absence for the purpose of child care. b. When the unit member is placed on leave of absence, no salary will be paid and all sick leave and other financial benefits will cease. c. Such a leave shall be for no more than a twelve (12) month duration unless extended by the District to coincide with the beginning of a semester.
