Common use of Leave of Absence for Imprisonment Clause in Contracts

Leave of Absence for Imprisonment. The Company may grant an employee with seniority a leave of absence without pay for a period not to exceed one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days if the employee is convicted and jailed for an offense under the Highway Traffic Act or Criminal Code arising out of the operation of a motor vehicle. The Company will also consider granting leaves for imprisonment for other minor offenses under this clause. An employee shall be entitled to only one (1) leave during the term of their employment.
