Leave, President, O.N.A. Upon application in writing by the Union on behalf of the employee to the Employer, a leave of absence shall be granted to such employee elected to the office of President of the Ontario Nurses' Association for a period of up to three (3) consecutive two (2)year terms. Notwithstanding Article 10.04, there shall be no loss of service or seniority for an employee during such leave of absence. During such leave of absence, the employee's salary and applicable benefits shall be maintained by the Employer and the Union agrees to reimburse the Employer in the amount of the full cost of such salary and applicable benefits. It is understood, however, that during such leave the employee shall be deemed to be an employee of the Ontario Nurses' Association. The employee agrees to notify the Employer of her or his intention to return to work at least two (2) weeks prior to the date of such return.
