FALSELY ACCUSED EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE 1. When a teacher has been accused of child abuse or sexual misconduct in the course of exercising their duties as employees of the Board, and a. an investigation has been undertaken by the Board and the Board has determined the accusation is not true, or b. an arbitrator finds the accusation to be false, or
Industrial Relations Training Leave Union Delegate/Employee Representative shall have access to industrial relations training in accordance with Appendix E hereof.
Actions We May Take if You Engage in Any Restricted Activities If we believe that you’ve engaged in any of these activities, we may take a number of actions to protect PayPal, its customers and others at any time in our sole discretion. The actions we make take include, but are not limited to, the following: • Terminate this user agreement, limit your account, and/or close or suspend your account, immediately and without penalty to us; • Refuse to provide the PayPal services to you in the future; • At any time and without liability, suspend, limit or terminate your access to our websites, software, systems (including any networks and servers used to provide any of the PayPal services) operated by us or on our behalf, your PayPal account or any of the PayPal services, including limiting your ability to pay or send money with any of the payment methods linked to your PayPal account, restricting your ability to send money or make withdrawals; • Hold your money to the extent and for so long as reasonably needed to protect against the risk of liability. You acknowledge that, as a non-exhaustive guide: • PayPal’s risk of liability in respect of card-funded payments that you receive can last until the risk of a chargeback closing in favour of the payer/buyer (as determined by card scheme rules) has passed. This depends on certain factors, including, without limitation:
Family Medical Leave or Critical Illness Leave a) Family Medical Leave or Critical Illness leaves granted to a permanent teacher, long-term occasional teacher or teacher hired into a term position under this Article shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act, as amended. b) The teacher will provide to the employer such evidence as necessary to prove entitlement under the Employment Standards Act. c) A teacher contemplating taking such leave(s) shall notify the employer of the intended date the leave is to begin and the anticipated date of return to active employment. d) Seniority and experience continue to accrue during such leave(s). e) Where a teacher is on such leave(s), the Employer shall continue to pay its share of the benefit premiums, where applicable. To maintain participation and coverage under the Collective Agreement, the teacher must agree to provide for payment for the teacher’s share of the benefit premiums, where applicable. f) In order to receive pay for such leaves, a teacher must access Employment Insurance and the Supplemental Employment Benefit (SEB) in accordance with g) to j), if allowable by legislation. An employee who is eligible for E.I. is not entitled to benefits under a school board’s sick leave and short term disability plan. g) The Employer shall provide for permanent teachers, long-term occasional teachers and teachers hired into a term position who access such Leaves, a SEB plan to top up their E.I.
Maternity Adoption and Parental Leave For the purposes of granting Maternity, Adoption and Parental Leave, the provisions of the Canada Labour Code and of its Regulations shall apply.
NATURAL DISASTER LEAVE Where a permanent employee is unable to attend work because of a natural disaster, i.e. bushfire or flood, they will be entitled to be paid ordinary pay for the shift they would otherwise have worked on that day. This entitlement will apply once per calendar year and is not cumulative from year to year.

Central Committee on Violence in the Workplace The Central parties agree to create a Central Committee to review and develop best practice recommendations related to Violence in the Workplace. The Committee will take into consideration recent provincial reports related to violence in the workplace issues. The best practice recommendations will be distributed to the Joint Health and Safety Committees at each individual Home to be recommended for implementation. The best practice recommendations will include but will not be limited to: Review/modify: the processes, procedures, measures and follow through on:
Notice of Criminal Activity and Disciplinary Actions a. Xxxxxxx shall immediately report in writing to their contract manager when Xxxxxxx has knowledge or any reason to believe that they or any person with ownership or controlling interest in the organization/business, or their agent, employee, contractor or volunteer that is providing services under this Contract has: 1. Engaged in any activity that could constitute a criminal offense equal to or greater than a Class A misdemeanor or grounds for disciplinary action by a state or federal regulatory authority; or 2. Been placed on community supervision, received deferred adjudication, or been indicted for or convicted of a criminal offense relating to involvement in any financial matter, federal or state program or felony sex crime. b. Grantee shall not permit any person who engaged, or was alleged to have engaged, in any activity subject to reporting under this section to perform direct client services or have direct contact with clients, unless otherwise directed in writing by the System Agency.
