Leave with Disability. Members having exhausted all other paid sick leave shall, with proper medical verification, be placed on temporary disability payments of $100 per month for a period of six (6) months, renewable for two (2) additional six (6) month periods with proper medical verification.

The length of such disability leave, including the date on which the leave shall commence and the date on which the duties are to be resumed, shall be determined by the unit member and the unit member's physician.
