Leave Without Pay to Accompany Spouse. At the request of an employee, leave without pay for a period of up to one year shall be granted to an employee whose spouse is perma- nently relocated and up to five years to an employee whose spouse is temporarily relocated Except where the period of such leave is less than three months, the period of leave without pay granted under this sub-clause shall be deducted from the calculation of "continuous employment" for the purpose of calculating severance pay and vacation leave. Time spent on such leave which is for a period of more than three months shall not be counted for pay increment purposes.
