Lessor Shall Not Discriminate. In the performance of this Agreement, Contractor agrees not to discriminate against any employee, City and County employee working with such contractor or subcontractor, applicant for employment with such contractor or subcontractor, or against any person seeking accommodations, advantages, facilities, privileges, services, or membership in all business, social, or other establishments or organizations, on the basis of the fact or perception of a person’s race, color, creed, religion, national origin, ancestry, age, height, weight, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, domestic partner status, marital status, disability or Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome or HIV status (AIDS/HIV status), or association with members of such protected classes, or in retaliation for opposition to discrimination against such classes.

  • Not Discriminate In its performance of this Grant Contract, the Grantee shall not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, sex, national origin, religion, age, marital status, or disability, with respect to either provision of services or in its employment practices. In the event a federal or state court or administrative agency makes a finding of discrimination against Grantee after a due process hearing, Grantee shall forward a copy of the finding to Project Monitor. Grantee shall be required to comply with 28 CFR 42.301 et seq. to formulate an Equal Employment Opportunity Program (EEOP).

  • ANTI-DISCRIMINATION i) It is the intention of the parties to seek to achieve the object in section 3 (f) of the Industrial Relations Act 1996 to prevent and eliminate discrimination in the workplace.   • Harassment & Discrimination The local parties will determine the appropriate means of promoting an effective and meaningful way of addressing discrimination and harassment issues, which may include, but is not limited to the following: • Reviewing the hospital’s harassment policy and making joint recommendations to the Chief Nursing Officer; • Promoting a harassment free workplace where there is ‘zero tolerance’; • Ensuring that all employees are familiar with the employer’s harassment policy by identifying educational opportunities, including the orientation period for new employees; • Identifying supports and solutions to assist employees to deal with harassment and discrimination issues (i.e. Employee assistance Programs, staff supports); • Development of processes to address the accommodations/ modified work needs for nurses; • Development of assertiveness training programs.
