Lessor Shall Not Discriminate. In the performance of this Agreement, Contractor agrees not to discriminate against any employee, City and County employee working with such contractor or subcontractor, applicant for employment with such contractor or subcontractor, or against any person seeking accommodations, advantages, facilities, privileges, services, or membership in all business, social, or other establishments or organizations, on the basis of the fact or perception of a person’s race, color, creed, religion, national origin, ancestry, age, height, weight, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, domestic partner status, marital status, disability or Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome or HIV status (AIDS/HIV status), or association with members of such protected classes, or in retaliation for opposition to discrimination against such classes.

  • Employer Shall Not Discriminate The Employer agrees that there shall be no discrimination, interference, restriction, or coercion exercised or practiced with respect to any employee in the matter of hiring, wage rates, training, up-grading, promotion, transfer, layoff, recall, discipline, classification, discharge or otherwise by reason of age, race, creed, colour, national or ethnic origin, ancestry, political or religious affiliation, sex, sexual orientation, family or marital status, place of residence, citizenship, record of offenses, handicap, or by reason of membership or activity in the Union.

  • Not Discriminate In its performance of this Grant Contract, the Grantee shall not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, sex, national origin, religion, age, marital status, or disability, with respect to either provision of services or in its employment practices. In the event a federal or state court or administrative agency makes a finding of discrimination against Grantee after a due process hearing, Grantee shall forward a copy of the finding to Project Monitor.   • ANTI-DISCRIMINATION i) It is the intention of the parties to seek to achieve the object in section 3 (f) of the Industrial Relations Xxx 0000 to prevent and eliminate discrimination in the workplace.   • Unlawful Discrimination 14.1 The Contractor shall not unlawfully discriminate within the meaning and scope of the provisions of the Race Relations Xxx 0000, the Sex Discrimination Acts 1975 and 1986 and Disability Discrimination Xxx 0000, or any statutory modification or re-enactment thereof relating to discrimination in employment. The Contractor shall take all reasonable steps to secure the observance of these provisions and any other relevant statutory employment protection obligations by all servants, employees or agents of the Contractor and all sub-contractors employed in the execution of the Agreement.

  • Freedom from Discrimination 9.01 The Union, the Employer, and the employees agree that there shall be no discrimination, interference, restriction, or coercion exercised or practiced with respect to any employee by reason of race, ethnic origin, colour, ancestry, citizenship, place of origin, creed, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, family status, pregnancy, disability, lawful source of income, conviction for an offence for which a pardon has been granted, or union membership or activity or for exercising their rights under the Agreement.

  • Harassment & Discrimination The local parties will determine the appropriate means of promoting an effective and meaningful way of addressing discrimination and harassment issues, which may include, but is not limited to the following: • Reviewing the hospital’s harassment policy and making joint recommendations to the Chief Nursing Officer; • Promoting a harassment free workplace where there is ‘zero tolerance’; • Ensuring that all employees are familiar with the employer’s harassment policy by identifying educational opportunities, including the orientation period for new employees; • Identifying supports and solutions to assist employees to deal with harassment and discrimination issues (i.e. Employee assistance Programs, staff supports); • Development of processes to address the accommodations/ modified work needs for nurses; • Development of assertiveness training programs.

  • NON-DISCRIMINATION/HARASSMENT The District prohibits the unlawful harassment of its classified employees and will investigate and take appropriate measures, in accordance with the law, to ensure that unlawful harassment does not occur.
