Level One – Immediate Supervisor. a. Any member or members of the unit may present his/her grievance to his/her immediate supervisor. Such grievance shall be in writing and must state specifically (1) that the grievance procedure is being invoked; (2) the nature of the grievance; (3) the specific terms of the contract on which the grievance is based. The grieving employee may appear alone or with a representative of the bargaining unit. b. Within five (5) days of the receipt of the grievance, the immediate supervisor shall inform the grieving employee of his decision and shall provide same with a brief statement in writing of the reason.
