Common use of Limit on Accrual Clause in Contracts

Limit on Accrual. No Employee shall be permitted to accrue more than seventy- two (72) hours of unused compensatory time. Any Employee who has accrued unused compensatory time to the maximum limit shall be paid in cash for any additional overtime worked. If an Employee is paid in cash for accrued compensatory time, he or she shall be paid at the Employee’s regular rate at the time of payment.
