Limitations and Files. Records relative to discipline imposed shall be removed from the unit member’s personnel file after two years have passed without repetition of the same or similar conduct, so that the record will not influence decisions such as promotions or transfers. Such records may be retained by the District in a separate disciplinary file or log, limited to use in the event that reference is needed for future discipline. Such a separate file shall contain only such expunged material.
