Common use of Limits of the Site Clause in Contracts

Limits of the Site. Except as defined below, the limits of the Site shall be as defined in the Contract. Should the Contractor require land beyond the Site, he shall provide it entirely at his own expense and before taking possession shall supply the Engineer with a copy of the necessary permits. Access to the Site is available where the Site adjoins a public road but it is not provided unless shown on the Drawings. When necessary for the safety and convenience of workmen, public or livestock or for the protection of the Works, the Contractor shall, at his own expense, provide adequate temporary fencing to the whole or part of the Site. The Contractor shall not disturb, damage or pull down any hedge, tree or building within the Site without the written consent of the Engineer.
