Limits on Split Shifts. ‌ Within any twenty-four (24) hour period, the University will not require an employee’s scheduled duties to span a period of more than nine (9) hours (including a meal break) without their agreement. Duties which the employee has been authorized to schedule at their choosing will not be considered scheduled duties for the purposes of this clause.

Due to the nature of the work, Cultural Assistants and employees participating in department field trips will be subject to different conditions which are outlined in a Letter of Understanding #6 in Appendix B of this Collective Agreement.
