LOAD BANKING LEAVE. 23.4.1 A tenured Unit Member may use accumulated load banked assignments as paid load banking leave to reduce the Unit Member’s regular contract workload in one (1) or more regular semesters/trimesters. A probationary Unit Member may load bank assignments as provided herein, but may not use accumulated load banked assignments for a reduction of load (“load banking leave”) during the Unit Member’s probationary period. 23.4.2 A Unit Member may not take a full (100%) load banking leave more often than once every three (3) academic years. 23.4.3 During any semester/term for which banked leave is used, the Unit Member shall continue to receive pay, including fringe benefits, retirement system contributions, and other payroll contributions proportionate to the Unit Member’s total regular workload, including the load banking leave.
